Greetings from Ray +

March 21, 2020

Greetings to all,

I hope you and kith and kin as as well as possible in these Covid 19 times.

There have been pandemics over the centuries, however we are now called to take special precautions to protect others and ourselves.

We at Holy Trinity, Clearview in the Diocese of Toronto are a week into the cessation of public worship under the direction of our Diocesan Bishop Andrew and our local, provincial and federal authorities.

We at Holy Trinity, Clearview are are taking extreme measures to cooperate with the Diocesan directives and our local authorities to rise to this challenge.

The Church certainly respects good reasonable science and medicine, however, we also rely on the grace of God and the prayers of the saints and each other to endure this veritable microscopic menace .

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

While we must not give way to rampant fear, caution is called for. Take care of others as you are able and yourselves. Shelter at home. Follow the rules of good hygiene.

Pray for one another. Stay in touch with one another. Unity gives us strength. Community is a source of encouragement and comfort.

Do not hesitate to call the Parish at 705-794-9140 if any extraordinary needs arise. We will do all within our power to help.

Check out our website: http://www.holytrinityclearview.com/ where you will find links to Diocesan information, our blog and our YouTube site for sermons. Also email addresses for myself and wardens are found there.

Use the blog or emails to ask question of yours truly and be brave in so doing! A arms length teaching and or discussion is always good for the soul!

The Church does not question our faith but asks questions of the Faith and the One our Faith reveals!

Holy Trinity is blessed with a close knit and compassionate congregation. We are in this together. Love one another (especially those in this mailing that do not attend the Parish, still we hold in common our humanness and in this we are, in truth, all one.

“Behold how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”  (Psalm 133:1)

Although we cannot know the future, our faith teaches us that it is God who holds the future.

Use this time of social distancing and increased solitude to pray that our Merciful God will ease the suffering of our world and bless all efforts to stop the spread of the virus and care for the sick.

Pray for all those who are working on a vaccine and save and preserve all who are working on the front lines to ease the suffering of humanity.

Above all, “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10).

Don’t give into fear, give in to faith and rejoice that God is and always will be with us.

God is good.
